The Certification Process
Certification typically takes one day. It consists of a written and practical skills test. This testing is held seperately from training and is administered in a closed-book environment. Interested candidates should fill out the AE, Inc. Practitioner Certification application.
The following pages explain the different levels, tracks, and specializations of certification that we are offering at this time. You can also download this chart, which shows the prerequisites.
For practitioners seeking certification that have not received recent training from Absolutely Experiential, there is a system for "challenging in" to our program. The prerequisites for challenging in require more experience and/or training than the standard ones. When determining practitioner eligibility, we are looking for more than just the hours of training and experience. Each practitioner is considered on a case by case basis on factors such as how recently training was received, how relevent the documented experience is, whether the trainers and facilities can be reached for references, and any other ways that the practitioner has kept current on industry practices and standards.
If you are applying for Level II or CCM, a portfolio documenting your training and experience must accompany the application as evidence that you meet the prerequisites. Be sure to submit a copy as it will kept on file with your certification information. Once we receive your application and portfolio, we will contact you with any questions or to confirm that you are eligible for the level of certification that you are applying for.
